Sacraments

1) Baptism - Baptisms are scheduled for the first Sunday of the month as part of the 11:30 Mass. Parents must be registered and attend a Baptismal Preparation Class, which occur on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7pm, prior to scheduling the baptism. Contact the Rectory Office at least one month in advance. Expectant parents and Godparents are urged to attend at any time during the pregnancy.

RCIA clasess (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults), explore the process by which new members are brought into the Church. Evening sessions are held to permit the candidates to ask questions. learn about the teachings of the Church and reflect on their decision to become a Catholic. 4) Marriage - Couples should contact the Rectory for an appointment with a Priest or Deacon to received guidelines on marriage preparation and the "FOCCUS" program. Allow approximately six months preparation prior to setting a date.

5) Confession - also known as the Sacrament of Penance or the Sacrament of Reconciliation, is one of the least understood, and least utilized, sacraments in the Catholic Church. In reconciling us to God, it is a great source of grace, and Catholics are encouraged to take advantage of it often, even if they are not aware of having committed a mortal sin. Confession is held Saturdays at 9am and by special arrangement anytime.

6) Anointing of the Sick - In the case of serious illness or hospitalization, please contact the Office to arrange for a priest to visit. The priests visit Sebastian River Medical Center on a regular basis.

(Funeral arrangements are generally made in cooperation with the Funeral Home. Memorial services may be arranged through the Rectory Office. Families are invited to come into the Rectory to make arrangements for the Mass. When requested, women of the parish prepare and set-up for a family reception following a funeral. Tables are set, food is served and clean-up follows, to provide support to the family during a difficult time.)

7) Holy Orders - To receive this Sacrament is a continuation of Christ's priesthood, which He bestowed upon His Apostles. There are three levels to this Sacrament of Ordination: the Episcopate, the Priesthood, and the Diaconate.  If you feel God is calling you to serve him more fully, contact our Pastor, Father Antony.
